The Dividend Manager’s Strategy For Selecting The Top 100 Dividend Paying Stocks: Select firms with moderate dividend payout ratios. Firms with moderate or even low-payout ratios will have the financial capacity to continue paying and raising dividends at an above-market rate. Choose firms with a solid history of dividend payments plus above-average dividend growth (generally a minimum of 5 percent in dividend growth rate for prospective investments).
